F&B Supervisor - Amsterdam

At ibis Amsterdam City West, you work 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and enjoy plenty of flexibility in your schedule. You largely determine your own working hours and days. The only thing we expect? That you are present during peak times, or ensure that everything is organized down to the last detail to handle the rush.

Who are we?

ibis Amsterdam City West is a 3-star hotel with 180 rooms. In total, about 30 employees work here across various departments. The F&B department currently consists of 7 permanent team members, supplemented by external staff.

On a daily basis, we provide:

• Up to 250 breakfasts (7 days a week)

• An à la carte restaurant (Monday to Friday) in the bar area

• Regular tour dinners served buffet-style (± 60 guests)

• A bar that is open 7 days a week

The role

As a Breakfast / Restaurant Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring that daily operations run smoothly. You combine an active, hands-on role on the floor with administrative responsibilities.

Your duties:

• Leading the team: kitchen, bar/service, and breakfast

• Creating work schedules

• Scheduling and requesting external staff

• Placing orders (breakfast, kitchen, bar, and take-away shop)

• Monitoring margins and costs

• Recruiting and selecting new colleagues

• Conducting performance and progress reviews

• Organizing F&B meetings

• Monitoring HACCP guidelines

• Collaborating with the chef on menus

• Carrying out the monthly inventory count and closing
