What does the job include?

Are you a passionate chef with a love for hospitality and an affinity for Caribbean cuisine? Then this is your moment to join Corendon Amsterdam New West and our Mondi–Caribbean restaurant concept, where flavor, creativity and experience come together.

As Head Chef, you’ll be responsible for the daily kitchen operation of our Mondi restaurant. You’ll work hands-on in the kitchen, lead by example and guide a motivated team. You bring fresh ideas, elevate the concept and ensure that every guest feels the warm, vibrant Caribbean atmosphere on their plate.

Your responsibilities:
✔️ Leading, coaching and developing your kitchen team
✔️ Overseeing the full kitchen operation within the Mondi–Caribbean concept
✔️ Ensuring smooth daily operations in line with our brand and service standards
✔️ Working with other departments to create a seamless guest experience
✔️ Monitoring food quality, HACCP guidelines, stock control and cost efficiency
✔️ Contributing to menu development with fresh, flavorful Caribbean inspiration
✔️ Inspiring the team to create a true “WOW experience” every single day
