As our accountant clerk, you are part of our Central Finance Office, based in the Netherlands. The Central Accounting & Finance Department will exist of multiple accountant clerks, (Ass) Financial Controllers, VP Finance, and the CFO. Together you assist the hotels financially for the current ten hotels in Germany, five hotels in The Netherlands, one hotel in Finland, and many more within Europa to come.
  1. IN THIS POSITION YOU ARE                                                                
An enthusiastic, passionate colleague who loves numbers and hotels! Together with the central finance team and your finance colleagues in the hotels, you take care of the entire administration for our current, but also for our (soon) to open hotels. You work closely with all colleagues within the finance department and will support the hotels where needed. Together we ensure the ultimate guest experience and the best possible result. We are opening a new centralized finance office, so for each division within the accounting department, we are looking for support.
  • Income auditor; controlling ,analyzing, processing, reporting and adjusting financial revenue data
  • Accounts Payable: Responsible for credit administration and ensuring incoming invoices of suppliers are proceeded correctly and are paid in time, checking bookings, preparing payments, responsible for favorable aging. You have direct contact with GM’s and department heads for approval of the invoices.
  • Accounts Receivable; sending individual and group invoices, drafting of statements, responsible for a favorable aging, outstanding invoices
  • Cashiering tasks; checking credit card and cash transactions, administering cash flows, identifying and resolving any differences
  • Processing and checking bank transactions
  • Partially prepare the monthly and annual closing and support your colleagues within your department where necessary
  • Researches and response to information requests from internal departments, management, and colleagues
  • Collaborates with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals
  • Thinking along in optimizing processes to achieve an even better and more efficient financial administration
  • Execute internal control over revenues, expenses, assets, and liabilities of the hotel
  • Complete month-end responsibilities

Functie eisen Accounting Clerk:

  • Knowledge of the German language is a big plus
  • A VET or Bachelor’s degree (MBO or HBO) preferably in Hotel Management or Accounting is a plus
  • Some experience in a similar position is an advantage
  • Experience within the hospitality industry is an advantage
  • Speaks and writes fluently in English
  • Translates analysis and numbers into actions and right-steering
  • Affinity with both business and finance and understands the hotel operation.
  • Analytical and numerical skills
  • Good communication in Dutch would be preferred
  • Experience with Excel, Microsoft Dynamics BC, PMS Opera is an advantage
  • Great passion for finance as well as the hospitality industry 
  • Eager to learn and lots of energy
