THE POSITION
For Odyssey, achieving optimal revenue in our hotels is a day-to-day challenge. As a Revenue Management Intern, you'll be part of the experienced revenue team for Benelux, where you'll work on the implementation of pricing policies and support the team in setting up revenue strategies for the Odyssey hotels.
During the internship, you will learn the principles and techniques of revenue and distribution management of multiple brands together with the team. You'll help in looking after the revenue management systems and strategy for our hotels, including creating the best pricing models for the hotel rooms and looking at special offers that can be made to different types of guests so that the hotels have optimal occupancy. Our hotels have an international brand, and you will have the opportunity to help with the pre-opening activation and positioning of our hotels. Furthermore, you'll be largely exposed to the strategic commercial strategy process and decision-making of the operating hotels.
Besides your daily functions, there is a lot of room for your own input and projects. We are always curious to see how you will have the best learning experience during your internship.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reporting, such as pace and pick-up report and forecast reports
- Assisting the Revenue Managers in loading tactical promotional rates
- Assisting the Revenue Managers in the preparation of strategy meetings through data collection, analysis and recommendations
- Participating in special projects to develop specific analysis tools and studies coordinated by the team
- Helping in setting up newly opening hotels from a systems perspective through rate loading
- Assisting in system audits
- Assisting daily inventory management
- Gaining insight into the reservations process through cross training
- Training on all relevant revenue and reservation systems and tools of both brands (shadowing, in-person, and online)
