About the place

At this 5-star hotel, you will help with events ranging from 50 to 2,000 guests. From international conferences and business meetings to receptions and dinners. No shift is the same. What always stays the same: together with your colleagues, you make sure everything is prepared, runs smoothly and meets the level of service guests expect.

About the location

You will work at a large 5-star hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. A place where international guests come together every day for events, conferences and meetings.

The banqueting team consists of many familiar faces. The atmosphere is professional, involved and focused on teamwork. Colleagues help each other, work hard when needed and are proud of what they achieve together.

The department is led by a manager who is clear, approachable and involved. Someone who helps on the floor when needed, expects high quality and wants to achieve success together with the team.

The role

As a Banqueting Employee, you help with the preparation, execution and breakdown of high-level events. This is more than just serving guests. You set up rooms, work during conferences, receptions and dinners, serve drinks and dishes, and help with the breakdown afterwards.

The work is physical: you walk a lot, work with trays and plates and stay active during busy events. This role is a good fit for someone who wants more than just a side job. You get energy from working together, taking action and being part of a team that wants to deliver quality.

What will you do?

You set up rooms and event spaces You prepare tables, chairs and event materials
You serve guests during conferences, receptions, dinners and events
You serve drinks and dishes
You work with trays and multiple plates
You help make sure the event runs smoothly You help break down the rooms after the event

Who are we looking for?

You are available for at least 16 hours per week, divided over at least 2 shifts
You speak good English You are social towards guests and colleagues
You like to work hard and are physically fit
You do not mind working hard during busy events
You are reliable and keep your agreements
You think along and see what needs to be done
You enjoy working together in a team
You are available for changing shifts, including evenings and weekends
Hospitality experience is a plus, but motivation, energy and commitment are more important

An hourly wage of €17.67 all-in
A part-time position on an on-call basis
