OZO Hotels Arena Amsterdam (Karspeldreef 2, 1101 CJ Amsterdam) is a modern hotel located in Amsterdam Zuid-Oost, featuring 165 rooms, a restaurant, a stylish lobby, a gym, and meeting facilities. We are looking for an enthusiastic waitstaff employee. As a member of the service team, you are the face of the restaurant. You are responsible for welcoming, serving, and assisting guests, ensuring they feel comfortable and enjoy a positive and complete dining experience.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests in a friendly manner and guiding them to their table.

  • Taking orders and providing information or recommendations about the menu and beverages.

  • Serving food and drinks in a professional and friendly way.

  • Preparing and setting up tables and the restaurant area.

  • Clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the restaurant and work areas.

  • Handling payments and ensuring accurate cash register operations.

  • Recognizing guest needs or complaints and responding appropriately.

  • Working closely with kitchen and service colleagues to ensure smooth operations.

  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

Skills and competencies:

  • Guest-oriented, professional, and service-minded.

  • Strong communication and social skills.

  • A team player who can also work independently.

  • Stress-resistant and flexible, especially during busy periods.

  • Attention to detail and quality.

  • Basic knowledge of hospitality etiquette (or willingness to learn quickly).

Education and experience:

  • Experience in hospitality is a plus, but not always required.

  • Good command of Dutch and preferably English (additional languages are a plus).

  • Affinity with hospitality and guest service.
