For the Holiday Inn Express Utrecht Papendorp we are looking for an bar / restaurant waiter / waitress! 

Job description

Together with your collegues you ensure a unforgettable experience for our guest from our “Open Lobby”, where-in different zones as a restaurant, bar and multi media loung come together in one space.

During the week our restaurant serves an a la carte menu and throughout the week and weekend as well delicious pizza's from our brick oven. 

Main tasks and responsibilities

• Taking and preparing orders (such as drinks & pizza's)
• Serving a la carte menu 
• Debrassing tables and preparing them for the next guests
• Executing of cleaning and clearing activities in the open lobby
• Taking care of a welcoming representation of buffets, the meetingrooms and open lobby
• Answering guest’ questions
• Being attentive on guest’ wishes and inquiries, and compliance with the set rules regarding company and personal hygiene and work and presentation methods
• Various other activities that are not mentioned here, but which form a logical part of the job.

Requirements

• Related F&B experience (preferably 2-3 year in a a-la-carte restaurant)
• Service-focussed and flexible setting
• Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you’ll be easy to talk to
• Fluency in English and preferably also Dutch 
• Flexibility - evening, weekends and holidays are part of the job
• You have a problem-solving ability
• You have your own transportation (free parking available for staff members) or are able to still get home by public transport after 23h

On the 4th of August 2012, the hotel Holiday Inn Express Utrecht - Papendorp opened its 118 hotel rooms for the world. The hotel has the Great Room, where guests can enjoy breakfast, dinner and entertainment. The business center has all the necessities for business guests. In addition, the hotel has two modern meeting rooms, so that business guests are well catered for here. The hotel is located next to the A2 & A12 and only 10 minutes away from the Jaarbeurs, Central Station and the largest indoor shopping center in the Netherlands, Hoog Catharijne.
