About this role
As a Barista/Bar Employee with us, you’ll be the expert behind the coffee machine, ensuring our guests enjoy the perfect drinks. You’ll prepare high-quality coffees with care and precision, and know exactly how to bring together flavour and presentation in every cup.
Our farm-to-fork concept is all about pure, honest products, and that goes for our coffee too. You’ll work with carefully selected beans and have an eye for their origin, flavour profiles and sustainability.
As well as serving coffee, you’ll also serve other drinks and ensure the bar always looks neat and inviting. You’ll work closely with your colleagues in the front of house and the kitchen. You enjoy a lively working environment where quality and hospitality are key.

Duties and responsibilities
Preparing high-quality coffee and coffee specialities with a focus on flavour, balance and presentation
Working with various brewing methods and milk preparations in line with the concept
Monitoring and continuously improving the quality, consistency and flavour experience of all coffee drinks
Sharing knowledge about coffee, origin, branding and flavour profiles with colleagues
Preparing high-quality coffee and coffee specialities with a focus on flavour, balance and presentation
Using a variety of brewing methods and milk preparation techniques in line with the concept
Monitoring and continuously improving the quality, consistency and taste experience of all coffee drinks
Supporting the service team with specialist knowledge of coffee and hot drinks
Identifying and accurately communicating dietary requirements and allergies
Preparing and ensuring mise-en-place
Ensuring a clean, tidy and presentable workplace
Correctly processing and recording payments
Assisting with special packages and events
Complying with HACCP, hygiene and safety guidelines
Knowledge and experience
Experience as a barista is essential
Demonstrable knowledge of coffee, brewing methods and milk texture
Experience in the catering or hospitality industry, preferably with high-end guests
An affinity for food, drink and seasonal produce
Fluency in Dutch and English is required
Hands-on, flexible and service-oriented
Performance indicators
Consistent quality and flavour of the coffee
Neat presentation of the coffee, bar and workspace
Smooth and efficient workflow during service
High guest satisfaction and a personalised experience
Positive collaboration with front-of-house staff, the kitchen and the farm
About you
You are genuinely hospitable, meticulous and have a passion for the art of coffee-making. You take responsibility for both the quality of the product and the guest experience. You work with focus, remain calm when things get busy and actively contribute to a warm and professional atmosphere for guests and colleagues.

A full-time contract (38 hours per week) with a competitive starting salary, commensurate with experience and pay grade
