OZO Hotels is opening a brand new, modern hotel in Hoofddorp with more than 300 rooms, high-quality meeting facilities, a restaurant, a stylish lobby, a gym, and a wellness center. We are looking for an enthusiastic bar employee for the restaurant. As a bar employee, you will be responsible for preparing and serving drinks and light meals, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring that the bar is neat and well-organized. You will often be the face behind the bar and will contribute to a positive experience for guests.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Welcoming guests at the bar and providing them with friendly service.
Taking orders, preparing, and serving drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
Possibly preparing and serving simple dishes or bar snacks.
Checking stock and placing orders in a timely manner.
Restocking drinks, glassware, and other bar supplies.
Ensuring a clean and presentable bar.
Checking age limits when serving alcohol and complying with legal regulations.
Correctly settling accounts with guests and keeping cash records.
Identifying guests' wishes, complaints, or problems and responding appropriately.
Working with waiting staff and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.

Team player but also able to work independently.
Knowledge of beverages, cocktails, and barista skills is an advantage (or willingness to learn).
Accurate and detail-oriented.
Education and experience:
Experience in the hospitality industry or a similar position is an advantage, but not always required.
Proficiency in Dutch and preferably English; additional languages are a plus.
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge of HACCP and social hygiene (or willingness to obtain this).
