For a luxury 4* and 5* hotel in Amsterdam, we are looking for an enthusiastic Breakfast Chef. You will ensure the smooth operation of the breakfast service and prepare a fresh, high-quality buffet that delights every guest. Together with your colleagues, you’ll create a welcoming atmosphere and maintain excellent service standards.

This role is perfect for someone who enjoys early starts, works well independently, and takes pride in delivering a perfectly organized breakfast service.

The Role

As a Breakfast Chef, you are responsible for the preparation, setup, and execution of the entire breakfast service. You will manage both the buffet and à la carte dishes, ensuring everything is presented on time, in a structured manner, and at a true 5-star level.

Your responsibilities include:

– Preparing, setting up, and continuously replenishing the breakfast buffet
– Preparing à la carte dishes such as omelettes, poached eggs, fried eggs, pancakes, and other breakfast classics
– Independently running the breakfast service
– Working with professional kitchen equipment, including a Rational oven
– Monitoring quality, presentation, and pace during service
– Ensuring hygiene standards and compliance with HACCP regulations

Breakfast shifts start early in the morning (approximately 04:30/05:00 AM) and finish around 1:00 PM.

Who We Are Looking For

– Experience as a Chef de Partie or Breakfast Chef
– Ability to independently run a service
– Reliable and punctual, especially with very early start times
– Structured and calm under pressure
– Strong eye for detail and high-level presentation
– Hotel experience is preferred
