Canvas, the place to take a breath of the early morning air or gaze at the late night city lights. The place for the first bite or the last cocktail and everything in between. The Canvas can be blank, make it what you will.

Restaurant Canvas - on the seventh floor of Volkshotel - is looking for an enthusiastic experienced new team member for the breakfast shift. From early in the morning until late at night, Canvas is a place for breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. A meeting place where many different people come together. Do you enjoy working in a creative and international environment and do you have experience in hospitality? Are you able to walk with 4 plates?

• Living in Amsterdam (or the surrounding area)?

• Representative, socially skilled, stress-resistant and guest-oriented?

• An early bird and willing to go to work before sun rise?

This is what your day looks like:

Do you want to stretch after your shift? That’s possible. All employees can participate in Volkshotel's weekly yoga classes free of charge. Afterwards you clock in and take the elevator to the seventh floor. The atmosphere in Canvas is free and informal, so you don't have to change. Together with the operational team you are responsible for good service, but also for efficient staffing of the team. As a real early bird, will you together with your colleague take care of the breakfast(buffet) for our hotel guests. Canvas serves breakfast, lunch and diner to guests from all over the world, or from 'just around the corner'. Hanging out after your shift? No problem. Working with a view of the city of Amsterdam is nice, but enjoying it yourself with a closing drink might be even better. You can also take a dip in our hot tubs on the eighth floor. Not home yet? You don't have to, as an employee you get a discount on everything (programming, rooms, food and drinks) in the hotel.
