Our newest destination in Hotel Nassau Breda is a place made for sharing, savouring, and slowing down. Inspired by Riviera cuisine and infused with Parisian classics, bold Basque flavours, and Venetian bites, it’s more than just a restaurant; it’s a social hotspot.
Imagine warm lighting over rustic wood, laughter around shared plates, and guests lingering over dessert and wine. Here, we celebrate fresh, seasonal produce, vibrant flavours, and a menu designed to be enjoyed together in a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere.
THE POSITION
We are looking for an enthusiastic and professional Chef de Rang to join our opening team at Bar Belle. As Chef de Rang, you are the face of the restaurant for your section, creating unforgettable moments through genuine hospitality, attention to detail, and seamless service. You’ll guide guests through the menu, deliver high-level table service, and ensure that every experience feels personal and effortless.
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver elegant, attentive, and personalised service to guests in your section
Guide guests through the menu and beverage selection, with confident product knowledge
Coordinate the service flow between kitchen and front of house
Handle guest requests and feedback with professionalism and warmth
Ensure tables are set, serviced, and presented according to Bar Belle standards
Take orders and process them accurately in the POS system
Support and train Commis/Runner level colleagues where needed
Maintain a clean, organised, and guest-ready environment at all times
Uphold health, safety, and hygiene regulations
Contribute ideas on service style, guest experience, and upselling opportunities
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You are proactive, guest-focused, and passionate about great food, beautiful wine, and genuine hospitality. You describe yourself as a real team player and are excited to put Bar Belle on the map in Breda. You also recognise yourself in the following:
Experience as Chef de Rang or in a similar front-of-house role
Strong passion for restaurants, gastronomy, and service
Wine knowledge is a plus (and appetite to learn is a must)
You enjoy creating experiences, not just serving plates
You are representative, positive, and confident with guests
You speak Dutch & English (any additional language is a bonus)
Social Hygiene certificate is a plus
