Chef de Rang

As a  Chef de Rang at Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp, you play a vital role in creating an unforgettable experience for our guests.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming our guests with a warm, professional demeanor and guiding them to their table in a hospitable manner.

  • Taking orders and advising guests with your knowledge of food and beverages, ensuring they enjoy a top-level culinary experience.

  • In the absence of the Maître, you are responsible for accurately processing orders and maintaining a smooth service.

  • Acting as the link between the kitchen and the restaurant, you ensure dishes are served on time, correctly, and with proper etiquette.

  • Efficiently clearing tables after each course, cleaning, and resetting them to maintain a refined and well-kept dining atmosphere.

  • Creating the bill and processing payments accurately when the Maître is not present.

  • Preparing a meticulous mise en place to ensure everything is perfectly ready for seamless service.

  • Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks according to house standards and with attention to detail.

  • Communicating directly with the kitchen regarding special requests or allergies to ensure personalized service for every guest.

  • Monitoring and replenishing stock levels in a timely manner to ensure the team is always well-prepared.

  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both with guests and colleagues.

  • You radiate hospitality and professionalism, with a well-groomed and presentable appearance.

  • You are a true team player, but also capable of working independently and making decisions on your own.

  • You are solution-oriented with a hands-on mentality.

  • You work with precision and maintain an overview, even during peak service hours.

  • You have a flexible mindset, can handle stress well, and are open to working weekends and holidays.

  • You are fluent in  Dutch and/ or English, spoken and written. Knowledge of French and/or German is a plus.
