About the place

For a popular and lively all-day brasserie in a historic city centre, we are looking for a Sous Chef who gets energy from pace, guest experience and teamwork.

This location is busy throughout the day. From coffee moments and sunny lunches on the terrace to busy dinners, drinks, private dining and weekend events with music. The kitchen works with an international menu with European and French influences, where quality and accessibility go hand in hand.

As Sous Chef, you are the right hand of the Head Chef and you are fully involved in the daily operation. You support and guide the team, maintain the quality level and actively work alongside the brigade during service.

The role

  • Managing and coaching the kitchen team during service

  • Working hands-on across different sections

  • Maintaining quality, speed and presentation

  • Thinking along with menu development and seasonal specials

  • Managing stock and organizing the daily mise en place

  • Creating structure and a positive atmosphere in the kitchen

Who are we looking for?

  • An experienced Sous Chef or a strong Chef de Partie who is ready for the next step

  • Someone who keeps an overview when the pace increases

  • A true team player with natural leadership skills

  • Creative, hands-on and solution-oriented

  • Flexible and willing to work evenings and weekends
