About the role

At TVHG, we are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner / HR Manager who will take ownership of the HR agenda across a portfolio of 11 hotels in The Netherlands.

This is a senior, hands-on role where you combine strategic thinking with operational execution. You will play a key role in strengthening our people strategy, driving culture, and supporting our General Managers and Senior leadership team in strengthening team performance and employee engagement.

You will be visible across the hotels, work closely with different teams, and truly make an impact on how people experience working at TVHG — from their first day to their long-term development. You will report directly to the Operations Director.

 

Your impact

In this role, you are not just supporting the business — you are actively shaping it. You will:

  • Act as a trusted HR Business Partner to General Managers and senior leadership teams;

  • Drive culture, engagement, and leadership development across all hotels;

  • Take ownership of the full HR spectrum, from administration, payroll, operations to strategy;

  • Translate business needs into practical, scalable HR solutions;

  • Strengthen our culture and quality across the hotel portfolio.

 

Key responsibilities

Business partnering & leadership

  • Partner closely with General Managers on all people-related topics;

  • Coach and challenge leaders on performance, engagement, and team development;

  • Support organizational changes and growth initiatives.

 

Culture & people development

  • Act as a culture ambassador and drive company values across all hotels;

  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve employee engagement;

  • Support leadership development and succession planning.

 

HR operations & compliance

  • Oversee and ensure execution of core HR processes including full administration cycle and payroll;

  • Lead and develop a HR team, consisting of three team members and an intern;

  • Ensure compliance with Dutch labor law and internal policies;

  • Support in complex HR cases (performance, absence, disciplinary matters).

 

Talent & workforce planning

  • Support recruitment strategies across the hotels;

  • Strengthen onboarding and retention;

  • Work closely with partners and stakeholders to secure talent pipelines;

 

Projects & continuous improvement

  • Lead and implement HR projects across the portfolio;

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and employee experience.

 

Payroll & cost management

  • Responsible for payroll oversight and alignment with budget across the portfolio;

  • Monitor and manage personnel costs in line with business performance and targets;

  • Advise General Managers on workforce planning, scheduling, and cost efficiency;

What we are looking for

  • 5–8 years of experience in HR, preferably in a HRBP role

  • Experience within hospitality (or another relevant sector) is a strong plus

  • Strong knowledge of Dutch labor law and HR practices

  • Must be in possession of a valid Dutch passport, visa, and/or work permit

  • Fluency in English is required

  • Able to operate at both strategic and operational level

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Confident, proactive, and able to take ownership

  • Passion for people, culture, and development
