Director of Finance - Hoofddorp

IHCP is the hotel company behind Renaissance Amsterdam Schiphol Airport Hotel, Moxy Amsterdam Airport, Mercure Amersfoort Centre, Hilton Garden Inn Leiden and Moxy/Residence Inn The Hague. We operate 6 hotels for 3 major brands: Marriott, Hilton and Accor, we are growing fast and staying true to who we are: bold, curious, fun and ourselves. To support our next chapter, we are looking for a Director of Finance who can turn numbers into insight, strategy and impact. 

As Director of Finance, you will be part of our Cluster Team: the expert support team that works alongside our hotels in Finance, Sales, Revenue, HR, IT and Engineering. You will be based at our support office in Hoofddorp, while staying closely connected to hotel operations through regular hotel visits. This is a hands-on strategic role for someone who enjoys leading a team, challenging the business and helping hotel leadership make smart, future-focused financial decisions. 

The job consists of:

• Financial strategy, budgeting and forecasting: Coordinate the annual budget process, update financial forecasts on a monthly or weekly basis, and prepare strategic financial plans that support IHCP’s objectives, expansion plans, system investments and Capex planning. 

• Reporting, analysis: Deliver accurate monthly P&L statements, balance sheet analyses and cash flow forecasts. Analyse key operational costs, including payroll, Food & Beverage purchasing and energy, and translate your findings into clear advice for improved efficiency and performance.  

• Consolidation and annual reporting: Lead financial consolidation across the hotel portfolio and coordinate annual reporting requirements with clear, timely and reliable information. 

• Controls, compliance: Safeguard financial accuracy by reviewing daily reports and night audits, overseeing accounts receivable and accounts payable, ensuring controls and accounting standards meet Dutch legal requirements, and taking responsibility for accountancy audits and internal brand audits.  

• Procedures and policies: Develop, maintain and improve finance procedures and policies so hotel teams work consistently, efficiently and in line with internal and external requirements. 

• Hotel performance and leadership support: Work closely with General Managers and the Director of Hotels on finance-related questions, lead P&L meetings, identify challenges or discrepancies, and provide practical feedback on how to improve or resolve them. 

• Forecasting and commercial challenge: Participate in the hotel forecasting process by supporting payroll and expense forecasting, while reviewing and constructively challenging revenue forecasts where needed. 

• Team leadership and development: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, plan and coordinate with the finance team, lead and develop your colleagues, and deliver internal finance training sessions for hotel and support office leadership teams. 

• Cluster collaboration: Represent Finance in the IHCP Cluster Management Team and bring a strong financial voice to decisions that shape the future of our hotels.
