Your Day to Day

In this role you are a reliable multi-talent who is responsible for a diverse range of tasks. In the first place it is your duty to keep the areas of the hotel, both front and back of house spotless. Next to the cleaning you have a supporting role in various departments of the hotel. During your shift you will engage in various jobs. These jobs range from dishwashing to the distribution of linen to the various floors of the hotel. Or receive deliveries for the bar after you have attended to a guest in need of extra amenities such as a toothbrush. Apart from great communication with the different departments it is important that you are a star in managing your time to ensure the job is done at the end of the day.

You are responsible for

• Cleaning the public areas of the hotel such as the “work & play area”, reception desks, corridors and public bathrooms. Vacuuming, mopping, dusting etc.
• Cleaning the heart of house areas such as the canteen, offices and staff changing rooms.
• Dishwashing of china, cutlery, pans and kitchen equipment with the use of a professional dishwasher.
• Delivering extra amenities such as a toothbrush, shaving kits or laundry to our guests.
• Attending to the daily linen deliveries where you ensure all dirty linen go to the laundry company and the clean linen is counted and received.
• Assisting the housekeeping department with the distribution of the bedlinen and towels over the various floors.
• Assisting the housekeeping department with the collection of garbage and dirty linen from the various floors.
• The re-stocking of the housekeeping trolleys.
• Assisting the food & beverage team in the cleaning, counting and organizing of the storerooms of the hotel.
• The issuing of the uniforms of the voco™ team when they are returned from the dry-cleaning company.
• Collaboration with all departments in the hotel to find where you can take on extra work, you are a real “teamplayer”.
• Ad-hoc duties as required – unexpected moments when we have to pull together as a team to get a task done.
