Front Office Agent - Rotterdam

The ibis Styles Rotterdam Ahoy is looking for a hands-on Front Office Host(ess). In your role you report to the Front Office Shiftleader.

The hotel has 250 rooms and is located in the 'Hart van Zuid', a stone's throw from the Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center and Zuidplein. The restaurant and terrace with a view over Zuiderpark is the Italian hotspot of Rotterdam South with freshly prepared Neapolitan Sourdough Pizzas and Italian inspired cocktails.

Together with the team, you do everything you can to ensure that the guest experience is optimal from arrival to departure. You put the human point of view at the center of everything you do. Together with your colleagues, you ensure that arrivals are well prepared, that e-mails and telephone calls are answered correctly and in time, that the lobby and mini-supermarket are presentable, etc.

Job description

Your duties and responsibilities include:

• Check-in & check-out of hotel guests (cashless hotel);

• Answering emails, telephones, requests and/or questions from hotel guests;

• When a complaint is reported, you know how to speak to the guest properly and you get the shiftleader involved;

• Promote upselling such as early check-in/late check-out/room upgrades;

• You help ensure that targets are achieved and every guest leaves a 10;

• Providing an optimal service from the arrival of the guest to the departure;

• Identifying structural bottlenecks and suggesting points for improvement.

• You are the linchpin in the web and communicate several times per shift with your colleagues from Housekeeping, F&B, Technical Service and management;

• Other administrative tasks specific to the reception.
