About Us

Nestled in the vibrant, bohemian heart of Amsterdam, our boutique hotel in De Pijp is more than just a place to sleep—it’s a curated experience. We operate as a tight-knit, high-energy crew where micromanagement doesn't exist, but mutual support does. We are a small team that genuinely feels like a family, dedicated to showing our guests the absolute best of Amsterdam.

We are looking for a sharp, independent Front Office Host / Receptionist who can own the desk, read the room, and keep the operations running flawlessly.

The Role

This isn’t a standard "sit and wait" check-in job. You will be the face, the brain, and the vibe of the hotel during your shift. Because we are a boutique operation, you must be comfortable ruling your kingdom solo.

We operate across three distinct shifts (and yes, you need to be flexible enough to rotate through them):

  • Morning Shift: Fueling guests with local tips, handling check-outs, and setting a crisp tone for the day.

  • Evening Shift: Managing check-ins, setting the evening mood, and ensuring seamless handovers.

  • Night Shift: Keeping the house secure, auditing the day's numbers, and being the calm, reliable anchor while the city sleeps.

What’s In It For You?

We believe in rewarding hustle and celebrating milestones. If you take care of our guests and the business, we take care of you.

  • Financial Perks: A competitive salary plus access to our upselling and performance bonus programs (your drive directly impacts your paycheck).

  • Culture: A small, warm team environment where you are a person, not a payroll number. Expect plenty of laughs and zero corporate stuffiness.

  • The Details Matter: We don't forget the milestones—enjoy personalized birthday gifts and team celebrations.

  • Growth: In a boutique environment, you learn the entire business, not just one isolated task.

What You Bring

  • Legal Status: You must already hold a valid work permit or the legal right to work in the Netherlands (EU citizenship or valid working visa).

  • Autonomy: You don't wait for a manual to tell you how to solve a problem. You are fiercely proactive and comfortable working independently on shift.

  • Languages: Fluency in English is required. Speaking additional languages (especially Dutch, but any others too!) is a major plus.

  • Tech & Systems: You possess solid basic computer skills (navigating software, handling emails, basic troubleshooting). Experience with Mews PMS is a huge advantage, though we will train the right person.

  • Flexibility: Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and across all three shifts (Morning/Evening/Night).
