As Front Office Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the Front Office, Shuttle Service, and Housekeeping departments. You will ensure that operations run smoothly, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction, efficiency, and meeting budgets and targets.

What does a typical workday look like as a Front Office Manager?
You lead the Front Office team and are responsible for the daily operations of the front desk;
You coordinate and support tasks such as check-in and check-out, guest relations, and administrative processes;
You ensure the quality of service, procedures, and the department’s image;
You create schedules, supervise staff, and motivate the team in their professional development;
You participate in day-to-day operations and regularly serve as Duty Manager;
You handle complaints and complex situations and consult with the General Manager as needed;
You actively contribute ideas for improvements within the department and the hotel;
You ensure compliance with Marriott standards.
In addition:
You create staff schedules and assign tasks;
You manage your employees, motivate them, and guide them in their professional development;
You monitor progress, quality, and compliance with procedures and standards;
You ensure the team presents a professional and service-oriented image;
Handle guest complaints and complex issues and, if necessary, make decisions in consultation with the General Manager;
Actively contribute to process improvements within the department and the hotel;
Assist with operational tasks on the floor as needed;
Perform Duty Management shifts;
Ensure compliance with all applicable Marriott standards.
Shuttle Service
You are responsible for ensuring an efficient and guest-focused shuttle operation;
You create and manage schedules and monitor costs and revenue;
You supervise drivers, safety, and vehicle maintenance;
You ensure accurate record-keeping of trips, hours, and usage.
Job Requirements:
Technical Skills;
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
Experience with hotel software such as OPERA (preferably version 5), MARSHA, and other front desk systems;
Marriott experience is a plus.
Education
High school diploma or higher vocational education in hospitality or a related field.
What do we expect from you?
At least 4 years of experience in hotel front desk operations;
At least 2 years of managerial experience;
Proficiency in Dutch and English;
Experience with systems such as Opera (preferred);
Strong communication and organizational skills;
Flexible, able to handle stress, and solution-oriented.
