The Dylan Amsterdam is looking for a motivated Head of Engineering. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all technical installations, facilities, and buildings across the assigned properties within The Dylan Hotel Group.

Your responsibilities include:

-       Planning, coordinating, and supervising all maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance of equipment, technical installations, and facilities across our hotels, office building, apartments, and landscaped outdoor areas.

-       Managing quotation and tender processes for building investments and improvement projects that contribute to the continued development of the business.

-       Coordinating and managing external contractors for technical issues, specialist repairs, and maintenance work.

-       Managing the Engineering department's budget across the assigned hotels within The Dylan Hotel Group by monitoring material usage and maintaining inventory levels.

-       Ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations by overseeing fire safety measures and providing colleagues with guidance on emergency procedures and first response protocols.

-       Actively participating in troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance work, while also taking part in the on-call duty roster outside regular working hours when required.
