We are looking for a motivated Housekeeping Employee for the months of June through August. The ideal candidate should be flexible and available for part-time work, ranging from 24 to 32 hours per week, including weekdays and weekends.

Located in the vibrant heart of Rotterdam, on Kruiskade, we are situated in one of the most privileged locations. Grand Hotel Central stands as a symbol of unparalleled resilience, being one of the only two buildings to survive the devastating bombing of Rotterdam in 1940, alongside the famous Oude Luxor Theater. Proud of our rich heritage, we have been welcoming guests for over a century to our 64 rooms, each equipped with its own bathroom.

Your role:

You will be part of the Housekeeping team responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel rooms and other public areas.

Your duties will include:

• Cleaning our hotel rooms (making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, mopping, and replenishing disposable items);
• Performing cleaning tasks in general guest and business areas;
• You will also be involved in setting up the linen rooms after receiving laundry and preparing everything for the next day. Ensuring everything looks perfect at the end of your shift so that we can start each new day with a clean slate;

Finally, the following tasks are also part of your duties:

• Window and door cleaning, dusting furniture, etc.;
• Checking (technical) facilities, identifying defects/shortcomings, and reporting them to the relevant colleague.

What we expect:

Housekeeping Assistant Requirements:

• No specific education is required, but experience in cleaning would be beneficial.
• Knowledge of hygiene regulations is essential;
• Orderliness and cleanliness should be natural;
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English is a must.

We prefer candidates residing in Rotterdam.
