Hospitality Employee - Hotel New York & NY Basement - Rotterdam

Hotel New York has two restaurants: the Café-Restaurant on the ground floor and the stylish fine-dining restaurant NY Basement in our basement. We are looking for an enthusiastic Hospitality Employee who thinks "The Best of Both Worlds" sounds appealing—because that’s exactly what we offer.

So what does that look like?
One day, you might be working a day or evening shift at the Café-Restaurant—serving in the dining room, helping out at an event in one of our banquet halls, or enjoying the sunshine while working on the terrace. The next day, you could be in NY Basement, serving up the tastiest cocktails, finest wines, and delicious small plates in an entirely different ambiance.

As a Hospitality Employee, you and your team ensure that our guests have everything they need. Most of the time, you’ll be serving tables, but if the bar gets busy in the evening, you’re just as comfortable jumping behind it.

What makes this position so fun and unique is that you’ll be working in two completely different restaurants under one roof. No day is ever the same. One week, you might be serving lunch or dinner on the Hotel New York terrace, attending a wedding in one of our beautiful event spaces, and working an exclusive private event in NY Basement. Anything is possible! You let us know your availability, and we’ll create the schedule accordingly. We do ask that you're available at least 2 days per week, including weekends.

What does Hotel New York offer you?

• Reliability: Your salary is always deposited on time!
• Salary: The starting salary from the age of 20 is € 14,84 gross per hour based on 38 hours, excluding tips, holiday pay, and hours.
• 30/30 member:
• Overnight stay with 2 people for € 30,- including breakfast, in all WestCord Hotels;
• 30% discount on the bill when you dine (food and drink combination);
• 30% discount on items in the Kiosk of Hotel New York / WestCord products and on Wellness in WestCord Hotels.
• Training sessions so you can continue to develop yourself.
• A schedule that is always known at least 2 weeks in advance.
• A net bonus of € 250,- when you refer a new colleague and they are hired!
• A hotel stay at Hotel New York, including dinner, once you have completed your probationary period!

Who are you?

• You’re at least 18 years old (due to late closing shifts, between 1:00 AM and 3:00 AM).
• You have your own transportation
• We're happy to train you, but some experience in a high-quality restaurant is required.
