Opened in 2019 and located along the historic Singel canal, Hotel The Craftsmen is a 14-room luxury boutique hotel set in a 17th-century canal house in the heart of Amsterdam.

Each of our uniquely designed rooms is inspired by a traditional Dutch craft from the Cartographer to the Boat Builder and the Shoemaker. Storytelling, heritage, and craftsmanship are at the core of our identity. We combine authentic history with contemporary comfort, creating a highly personalized and intimate guest experience.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A HOTEL OPERATIONS INTERN

Would you like to gain hands-on experience in a high-end boutique hotel? This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn all aspects of hotel operations in a small, service-driven environment where attention to detail truly matters.

You will work closely with the General Manager and the team to ensure a seamless and exceptional guest journey — from arrival to departure.

YOUR ROLE

As our Hotel Operations Intern, you will gain practical experience across all operational departments of the hotel. You will develop skills in hospitality, service excellence, guest experience, and operational management within a luxury boutique setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Front Office

• Performing check-in and check-out using the MEWS PMS system

• Acting as concierge: recommending restaurants, museums, and activities in Amsterdam

• Guest relations: preparing in-room amenities and personalized touches

• Handling guest requests, questions, and resolving complaints

Food & Beverage

• Preparing and serving our artisanal breakfast experience

• Providing room service (drinks and light bites)

• Creating a warm, personalized breakfast atmosphere

Housekeeping

• Conducting room inspections after cleaning (quality checks)

• Adding final touches to ensure perfect presentation

• Assisting housekeeping during busy periods

Operations & Back-of-House

• Supporting daily operational processes

• Assisting with stock management

• Contributing ideas to enhance the guest journey and service quality

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO

• Is enthusiastic and genuinely passionate about hospitality

• Has strong communication skills

• Is guest-focused, proactive, and detail-oriented

• Is flexible and available to work weekends

• Is fluent in English (Dutch is a strong plus)

• Is available at least 24 hours per week
