We’re looking for a superstar HR Business PArtner to join our team in Rotterdam’s vibrant harbor district. Imagine working in an old spice warehouse, surrounded by the scents and colors of the Far East, with the stunning architecture of Dutch Manhattan just outside your window. Sounds dreamy, right?
Your Role as HR Business Partner – The People Champion!
Main Responsibilities:
Business Partnering & Coaching
You are the go-to person for managers when it comes to people. Hotel Directors and line managers rely on you for advice, whether it’s about performance, team dynamics, or difficult conversations. You coach them to get the best out of their teams while ensuring both local HR topics and corporate policies are applied in the right way. And you work closely with the Corporate People & Organization team on exciting projects.
Payroll & HR Administration
Behind every smooth operation is strong administration — and that’s where you bring structure. You coordinate payroll with external partners, ensure employee data is accurate, and keep contracts and files up to date. From scheduling systems to contact with UWV and insurance partners, you make sure everything runs seamlessly in the background.
Recruitment & Development
You know that great teams start with great people. You take ownership of the full recruitment journey, from sourcing to hiring, always looking for new and creative ways to attract talent. Whether it’s organizing job fairs, setting up internship programs, or leading onboarding and training, you play a key role in developing people across the hotels.
People & Performance
You help shape a strong performance culture. Managers turn to you for guidance on performance cycles, development opportunities, and career progression. You handle sensitive topics like contract changes, conflicts, and reintegration with care and professionalism, always keeping employee engagement and well-being in focus.
Legal & Reporting
You keep everything compliant and under control. Dutch labour law holds no secrets for you, and you ensure all HR processes meet the required standards. At the same time, you monitor key metrics like absenteeism, turnover, and retention, translating data into clear insights and actions. You play a role in RI&E (Risk Inventory & Evaluation) with the Maintenance Manager.
You Are:
· At least 1 year of experience in HR administration.
· Skilled in navigating HR systems.
· Passionate about finding the perfect candidates for open roles.
· Well-versed in Dutch labor laws.
· Highly organized, with top-notch administrative skills.
Your Extra Spark:
· Fluent in Dutch & English (Spanish? Even better!).
· Experience in hospitality, particularly in hotels, is a bonus.
· Calm under pressure and a master of prioritization during busy periods. Independent but a team player at heart.
