Restaurant The Blonde – Blendin Boutique Hotel Bloemendaal

For restaurant The Blonde in Bloemendaal aan Zee, we are looking for an Independent Working Chef with a true passion for cooking.

Someone who cooks with care and attention to detail. Someone with a sharp eye for flavour, timing and presentation, and who can smoothly switch between preparation and busy service moments.

Located on top of the dunes with a view of the sea, you will work in a kitchen where quality, calmness and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

Your role

As an Independent Working Chef, you will be responsible for preparing dishes during breakfast, lunch and dinner service. You work with fresh daily products, maintain overview during mise en place and ensure every plate is finished to the highest standard.

You will contribute ideas for new dishes and seasonal menu changes and play an active role in maintaining the quality of the kitchen.

You will:

  • independently prepare dishes according to recipes and planning

  • monitor quality, taste and presentation

  • work according to HACCP guidelines

  • keep your workspace clean, organised and efficient

  • stay calm and focused during busy services

  • work closely together with the kitchen and service team

You will work under the guidance of our Head Chef and F&B Manager, an experienced Michelin-star chef, who will support you in your professional growth and development.

Who you are

You genuinely enjoy cooking and have an eye for detail. You are independent, responsible and able to keep overview — even when the pace increases.

In addition:

  • you have completed a culinary education (SVH level 2 or 3 or equivalent)

  • you have experience in a professional kitchen

  • you are flexible and available to work evenings and weekends

  • you work in a structured and organised way

  • you are familiar with HACCP or willing to obtain certification quickly

  • you enjoy teamwork and creating memorable guest experiences

What we offer

  • A contract between 7.6 and 38 hours per week
    (we work with fixed contract hours of 7.6 / 15.2 / 22.8 / 30.4 or 38 hours)

  • Salary according to the Dutch Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (KHN), scale 5 or 6

  • A salary up to €3,289.31 gross per month based on 38 hours

  • 25 vacation days based on full-time employment
