About Hotel MAF

Hotel MAF is a boutique hotel with 14 unique rooms, located in a historic 17th-century building in the heart of Haarlem. As of September 1st, the hotel has been taken over by young, ambitious owners who are committed to taking Hotel MAF to the next level together with their team. We offer overnight stays, breakfast, lunch, drinks and small-scale events, all in a warm and personal setting.

The coming period will be one of development and growth: in 2026 we will launch a new hotel concept, add more rooms and introduce a new hotel name. As our Operations Lead, you will not only be responsible for daily operations but will also actively contribute to building the future of Hotel MAF.

Your Role

As Operations Lead, you are at the heart of our organisation. You combine operational leadership with acting as Manager on Duty, being the main point of contact for both colleagues and guests. You safeguard quality, motivate your team, manage event requests and ensure that every stay is a memorable one. At the same time, you contribute ideas for processes, improvements and our new concept, as many structures are still being developed. Your input makes a direct impact.

What You’ll Do

• Operational leadership: create schedules, assign tasks and lead by example by working alongside the team

• Hospitality: welcome guests, answer questions and resolve complaints professionally

• Inventory & orders: perform stock counts, place orders and check deliveries

• Events: handle event requests (meetings, drinks, gatherings) and coordinate execution

• Team management: recruitment & selection of new employees, training & onboarding, performance reviews

• Administration & registration: monitor consumption, sales, costs and hours, complete HACCP checklists, prepare cash reports and daily administration

• Incident handling & safety: act as point of contact for emergencies, ensure compliance with safety protocols and instruct the team

• Manager on Duty: oversee all operations during your shifts, coordinating with housekeeping, F&B and front office
