Contract: Apprenticeship (BBL)
Salary: €2.511,05 gross, based on 38 hours per week
Accommodation (optional): €400 rent per month, including meals (breakfast and one hot meal per day)

THE APPRENTICESHIP

As a service apprentice, you'll work on the floor at Brasserie Harry's, one of Maastricht's leading addresses. You'll combine hands-on work with your studies, growing step by step into a fully-fledged member of the floor team.

You'll learn the trade in its full breadth: from welcoming and advising guests to serving food and drinks in a busy, lively setting. Professional training is part of the programme, including drinks and wine knowledge, so you can guide guests with sound advice. You'll start by observing, but gradually take on more responsibility and independence. You'll build a real bond with the team and the guests, and see up close how a restaurant operating at an international level runs.

You'll work alongside colleagues who know their craft and are happy to show you the ropes. Asking questions is encouraged, and you'll have the space to try things out for yourself. What you learn at school, you'll put straight into practice here, and vice versa.

Behind the historic façades on Wycker Brugstraat, a family business has been running for over a hundred years, one that ranks among the very best in the Netherlands. Here you'll learn hospitality at the highest level, an experience you'll carry with you for the rest of your career.

Upon successful completion, a contract awaits, possibly alongside your further studies.

HARRY'S

Brasserie Harry’s is located in a historic building in Wyck, Maastricht. It boasts a vibrant dining room, lively ambiance, large open kitchen, and a dynamic bar. Harry’s is open seven days a week and serves a seasonal menu featuring contemporary brasserie dishes. The menu suits any occasion and any moment. No fixed order or set menu – anything goes, and (almost) everything is possible. During the summer months, guests can enjoy al fresco dining on the spacious terrace.
