OZO Hotels is opening a brand new, modern hotel in Hoofddorp with more than 300 rooms, high-quality meeting facilities, a restaurant, a stylish lobby, a gym, and a wellness center. We are looking for an enthusiastic service employee. As a service employee, you are the face of the restaurant. You are responsible for welcoming, serving, and assisting guests. You ensure that guests feel welcome and contribute to a positive and complete restaurant experience.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Welcoming guests and escorting them to their table.

  • Taking orders and providing information or advice about the menu and drinks.

  • Serving food and drinks in a correct and friendly manner.

  • Preparing and setting tables and the restaurant.

  • Clearing, tidying, and keeping tables and workspaces clean.

  • Settling bills with guests and ensuring correct cash register operations.

  • Identifying guests' wishes or complaints and responding to them appropriately.

  • Working with colleagues in the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth service.

  • Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.

Skills and competencies:

  • Hospitable, presentable, and service-oriented.

  • Good communication and social skills.

  • Team player, but also able to work independently.

  • Stress-resistant and flexible, especially during peak times.

  • Eye for detail and quality.

  • Basic knowledge of hospitality etiquette (or willingness to learn quickly).

Education and experience:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry is an advantage, but not always required.

  • Good command of Dutch and preferably English (additional languages are an advantage).

  • Affinity with hospitality and the hospitality industry.
