Together with the Head Chef, you help set the structure and direction in the kitchen. Alongside the other sous chef, you oversee daily operations and ensure a smooth workflow. You motivate your team, create a positive working atmosphere and are familiar with all aspects of the sous chef role. With your experience, you act as a coach and motivator for a kitchen team of around eight employees.

The Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach has 146 hotel rooms and suites, including family rooms and luxurious Wellness Suites. Our rooms are bright and spacious, with wood accents and large windows that let in light. Most hotel rooms and suites have a balcony overlooking the Kennemermeer lake or the marina. Our hotel is pet-friendly. Guests who wish to come with their four-legged friends are therefore very welcome.
However, they are not permitted in our restaurant and Wellness Suites. If you have been outside all day, you can relax in our gym, sauna and Turkish bath. Those who are environmentally conscious will be pleased to know that the Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach participates in the Green Key programme. This programme records the hotel's impact on the environment.
WHAT MAKES YOU THE SOUS CHEF WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• A completed culinary education (level 3 or 4) or at least two years of experience in a similar role.
• You guide the kitchen team in the absence of the Head Chef.
• You are a true professional; having a trainer qualification is an advantage.
• Strong product knowledge and experience with HACCP guidelines.
• You handle information responsibly and can contribute strategically.
