Your day starts at 06:45 AM. You start with a coffee and you still have time to catch up with your colleagues. Breakfast starts at 07:00 AM. When the first guests come in you greet and ask them about their stay. You note the room number and ask if there are any special wishes. If there are questions from the guests you answer them in the best possible way. You enjoy taking the extra step and making the connection with the guests.

You notice that the items on the buffet go very fast and you communicate to the kitchen what needs to be refilled. After a few weeks you have completely found your way! You know how to speak to the guests in a friendly way and ensure that they can enjoy their breakfast without worry. When breakfast is over you prepare the lunch buffet for a meeting group who come for lunch in the restaurant. At 13:30 PM lunch is over and you check what needs to be cleaned and to be refilled for your colleagues. Your colleagues from the evening shift will arrive at 14:45 PM. You tell them how the day went and give them a complete handover. At 03:00 PM your shift is finished and you go home feeling satisfied. Tasks and responsibilities

• You are a host to our guests. You enjoy having a chat with the guests and you do it with enthusiasm;
• You are responsible for the entire preparation, supplementing and ordering of breakfast;
• You take care of cleaning the buffet;
• You are responsible for lunch: buffet and a la carte.

Job requirements

• Communicative skills in the English and/or Dutch language;
• The public transport timetable does not prevent you from being on time;
• Being attentive to the wishes of guests and complying with the set rules.

On the 14th of December 2011, the hotel Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Sloterdijk Station with 254 hotel rooms was opened. The hotel is located next to the Sloterdijk train station. This station has an easy connection to the public transport of Amsterdam and surroundings, so you are 10 minutes from the central station of Amsterdam, the station of Haarlem and Schiphol Airport. Additionally, the hotel is located close to the A10 and A5 highway. Holiday Inn Express Sloterdijk features a business corner and offers inclusive breakfast and Wi-Fi.There is also opportunity to park, as long as there are enough places left for the guests.
