Hotel The Anthony | Lombok

An old place with a new story. A few years ago, a former monastery was transformed into a hotel with 57 rooms, 30 apartments, a restaurant, and a chapel for events. Recently, the hotel welcomed new management and began an exciting rebranding process.

We are a small, growing company aiming to be a place for locals, the wider Utrecht community, and tourists. We strongly believe in connecting international guests with the local neighborhood. At Kanaalstraat 197, you’ll find the only hotel in Lombok.

The reception is the crossroads where everything comes together. As Assistant Manager Front Office, you play a key role in our small front office team, serving as the first point of contact for the team and reporting directly to the Operations Manager. In the near future, the reception and bar will be redeveloped to further enhance the guest experience. This development requires a flexible, hands-on professional who can work both operationally and process-driven, has experience in a similar supervisory front desk role, and approaches building a new hotel with enthusiasm and responsibility.

Responsibilities

·       Lead, guide, and motivate the front office team
·       Monitor administrative processes, daily cash reports, staff hours, and manage weekly orders
·       Create and maintain operational and quality procedures, including regular checks
·       Plan the weekly front desk schedule in consultation with the manager
·       Manage sick leave, vacation, and time-off requests in the HR planner
·       Handle and oversee all incoming reservations
·       Resolve guest complaints and provide suitable solutions
·       Set priorities and delegate tasks to ensure all work is completed on time
·       Conduct performance and appraisal meetings together with the Operations Manager 

Requirements

·       Living in Utrecht or surroundings
·       Minimum of 2 years of hotel experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory front desk role
·       Fluent in English, both spoken and written (additional languages are a plus)
·       Flexible availability, including weekends
·       Accurate, professional, stress-resistant, and efficient
·       Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain oversight
·       High sense of responsibility and a drive to maintain and improve service and product quality
·       Natural leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
·       Solid knowledge of Mews PMS is a plus
