As an Axis’ Bartender you are responsible for providing our Guests with food and drinks as requested, in an efficient manner and according to proper procedure and bar regulations. With your hospitable service, you know how to impress the guests of Axis Lobby & Cocktail Bar at Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. You provide them with unforgettable experiences. Besides that, you and your colleagues will contribute to even more hotel awards, such as the World Travel Awards and the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards.

Due to your work experience, we understand that we do not need to explain you what your daily tasks will be, but just in case we will explain it shortly.

·        Manage an efficiently operated bar shift that is in accordance with the agreed standards and regulations

·        Ensure all Guests receive their drinks and food as requested

·        Maintain the cleanliness of all equipment used during shifts

·        Maintain cleanliness of the bar and stores to Health, Safety and Hygiene standards at all times

·        Show complete awareness of all the drink and food menus and readiness to explain and recommend food and drink contents

·        Maximize revenue and increase average spend per person through upselling, high customer service standards, effective training and motivational techniques

·        Demonstrate a general knowledge of most beverages served in the bar, how beverages are prepared (to recipe) and presented

·        Actively take part in meeting or exceeding our monthly drink profit margin target and get incentivized for that!

Besides an enthusiastic personality you are / you have;

• Experience in providing service, preferably as a Bartender
• Committed to delivering high levels of customer service
• A real team player with a ‘hands on’ mentality
• Strong communicative skills in English
• General knowledge of beverages and cocktails
• Flexible to work, also in evenings and weekends

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Previous experience in similar role and/ or extended experience with cocktail preparation
• Knowledge of the Dutch language
