W Hotels does not recruit, we cast Talent. W Amsterdam, located at Spuistraat 175 is casting a Welcome Ambassador. As a Welcome Ambassador you will be working together with the concierges to create fab experiences for the guests and you will be the first point of contact. 

Main responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

As a Welcome Ambassador (Doorman/Bellman), you ensure guests feel taken care of from the moment they arrive until the moment they leave. You create a smooth, personal and energetic welcome experience, the W way.

  • You will:

    • Welcome guests at the entrance with confidence, warmth and personality.

    • Assist with luggage, guide guests to reception and support with rooming when needed.

    • Open doors, assist with vehicles and ensure arrivals and departures run smoothly.

    • Monitor the entrance, driveway and lobby, keeping everything clean, safe and stylish.

    • Coordinate traffic flow (taxis, private cars, valet) with ease and awareness.

    • Stay alert — you see everything before anyone else does.

    • Work closely with the Welcome Desk, Concierge and both the Bank and Exchange buildings.

    • Create WOW moments by being in‑the‑know about the hotel, the city and what’s new/next.

    • Handle valet parking and assist with guest transportation needs.

    • Deliver mail, assist with bookings and support guests with Whatever/Whenever® requests.

    • Work rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

    Fast pace? Loud music? High energy? You love it!

  • On request, make bookings for guests in restaurants, flights, theater and all the places which are new and next. 

  • Organize transport for guests, such as train, taxi or bus 

  • You will be working different shifts (morning, evening, night and weekend shifts). Also during public holidays 

  • Communicating with your team and other departments is key. The Welcome Desk will be on speed dial. 

  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company asses. 

Requirements: 

 

  • Minimum of one-year experience in the same or similar role 

  • Fluency in English 

  • Dutch and any other language is appreciated  

  • Experience in the Luxury Segment is an advantage 

  • Work Permit for The Netherlands is required. 

  • Driver license B is a must
