Your day to day:
Making sure all areas of the kitchen are properly prepared for a smooth and successful service
Helping with training and developing new staff
Acting as a key element in the daily kitchen operation, working closely with your colleagues to prepare and serve exceptional dishes
Managing the preparation and presentation of plates, ensuring quality and standards
Taking responsibility for your own kitchen section and ensuring consistency in every dish served
Contributing to the creation and development of new menu items and presenting your ideas to the Chef
Taking ownership of your workplace by maintaining stock levels, organizzation and minimizing waste
Ensuring your section and your way of working meets or exceeds hygiene and cleanliness standards (HACCP compliance)
Supporting your team with general kitchen duties when needed, such as cleaning and dishwashing
Maintaining a positive team spirit and assisting colleagues wherever necessary to ensure excellent guest experiences
Actively participating in kitchen and team meetings, closely monitoring the stocks and working together with front of house to minimize waste
Assisting with monthly stocktake
Planning holidays accordingly to the workflow and helping/filling in where necessary
Responsible on checking and ensuring staff food quality
Job Requirements:
You are highly motivated to learn, open to feedback, and eager to develop new skills.
You are flexible and stress resistant.
You like to teach others and you are curious to develop your skills.
The flexibility to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.
Attention to detail.
Capability to work independently.
Ability to maintain oversight.
Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
