nhow Amsterdam RAI is a social and multicultural hub for globetrotters, business travelers, and Amsterdam locals. The iconic building, facing the various wind directions, symbolizes the melting pot the city of Amsterdam has always been and continues to be. The impressive 91-metre-tall building is located in the Zuidas district, right next to the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, offering its guests a dynamic headquarter and home base.

For this iconic social hub, we are looking for an authentic host who is enthusiastic, proactive, and is ready to take part in a dynamic design hotel. You will be responsible for creating the nhow experience in the hotel for every guest.

A day in the life of a Day/Night Receptionist  

Our reception team is very international, fairly young, and very vibrant. There is lots of laughter and chatting and the vibe is positive. English is our main language, but we enjoy having you bring in your personality and bit of you culture along. The shifts vary between morning (6.45-15) and evening (14.45-23). You will be asked to do few night shifts in a month. The following is an exmple of when you work morning shift: 

06:45 You arrive, in uniform, with a cup of coffee in the back office, your colleague from the night shift does the handover, you note the action points.  

07:00 You start with your checklist and are ready to provide a service with a heartfelt smile for the guests checking out.  

08:00 You have checked today’s arrivals and communicated special details to the Desk Manager and other departments.    

10:00 Between phone calls, you handle incoming emails and work your way through the ‘morning rush’.  

12:00 Enjoy your lunch with colleagues from other departments.  

13:00 You check whether there are still guests who need to check out and continue with your checklist until it is finished.  

14:00 You prepare the handover for the evening shift, start counting the cash register, and make sure all tasks are done.  

14:45 The evening shift has arrived, and you attend the handover.  

15:00 Time to go home!
