Objective

The F&B shift leader is an experienced hospitality professional who is ready for the next step with more responsibilities. The F&B shift leader shares responsibility for supporting daily operations, coordinating task distribution during shifts, and performing duties such as cash register closure and end-of-day procedures. Additionally, the F&B shift leader contributes to optimizing operational processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations, and maintaining a positive and productive working environment.

Daily tasks

Supporting daily operations on the work floor.
Carrying out cash register closure and end-of-day procedures.
Ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety regulations.
Contributing to a positive, guest-oriented working environment.
Identifying bottlenecks and proposing improvements.

Projects

Identifying opportunities for improvement in guest experience and team dynamics.
Providing input for training and onboarding of new team members.
Contributing to the implementation of new service concepts or menu changes.

Teamwork and collaboration

Collaborating with colleagues to optimize the guest experience.
Assisting with the onboarding and guidance of new team members.
Works closely with the F&B supervisors, maître, and F&B manager.

Qualifications and skills

Minimum 2 years’ experience in the hospitality industry within the F&B sector.
Team player with a supportive attitude.
Knowledge of F&B operations, including product knowledge and hygiene regulations.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing is a plus.
Experience with POS systems and financial closures.
Relevant certifications and training in the hospitality industry (e.g. SVH, HACCP) are a plus.

Working conditions

Shift between 12:00 – 00:30 (depending on a morning or evening shift).
Working in the hospitality sector with a dynamic, international and lively atmosphere.
Flexibility in working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and sometimes carry heavy trays or objects.
Indoor environment, dynamic and sometimes busy atmosphere.
