Independent Working Chef – Luxury Hotel on Vlieland

Cooking at a high level, working in a well-organised kitchen and delivering quality during every service.
For a luxury hotel on the island of Vlieland, we are looking for an independent working chef who takes ownership of their section, keeps overview during busy moments and enjoys being part of a team that performs together.

This is not a quiet island job. During the season the pace is high, expectations are clear and hard work is required. At the same time, you will live and work in a unique environment where colleagues often become friends and you experience a season you will not easily forget.

As an independent working chef, you make sure your section is fully under control. You safeguard quality, pace and structure during service. When it gets busy, you stay sharp and help the team continue delivering a consistent level.

What you will do

• Independently run your own section during lunch and dinner

• Prepare mise en place and contribute to planning

• Monitor quality, presentation and hygiene standards

• Work at a good pace during busy services

• Collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service

• Think along about improvements within the kitchen

Who you are

• You speak good Dutch or English

• You have experience as an independent working chef

• You enjoy working when the pace increases

• You work in a structured way and maintain overview during pressure

• You are a team player who takes responsibility

• You are flexible and available during weekends and peak periods

What you get

• Salary: €3,100 gross per month including holiday allowance and vacation days

• Hours: fulltime

• Contract: seasonal position with the possibility to stay longer

• Housing: room on the island between €200 and €350 per month

• Working within a professional team in a luxury hotel environment
