Floor Supervisor / Manager (FT) - Rotterdam

Job description:

As a Floor Supervisor / Manager, you are a key part of our Food & Beverage operation. You combine operational leadership with a hands-on approach and ensure that events, meetings, and daily F&B activities run smoothly, professionally, and with a strong focus on guest satisfaction.

You are responsible for leading the banqueting team during operations and ensuring that every service is delivered according to the highest quality standards. As a visible presence on the floor, you coach, motivate, and guide your colleagues, monitor the guest experience, and take action whenever needed.

From corporate meetings and conferences to dinners, receptions, and special events: you maintain oversight, take ownership, and work together with the team to ensure flawless execution. With your leadership, organizational skills, and passion for hospitality, you contribute to an F&B operation where quality, teamwork, and development are at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coordinate, and support the daily F&B operation with a strong focus on Banqueting;

• Manage, motivate, and coach the banqueting team during events and service moments;

• Act as the operational point of contact on the floor for guests, colleagues, and other departments;

• Ensure quality, presentation, and guest-focused service according to Hilton standards;

• Ensure efficient preparation, execution, and completion of events;

• Allocate tasks and create strong collaboration within the team;

• Support the onboarding, training, and development of new and existing team members;

• Identify and resolve operational challenges during service;

• Collaborate with the kitchen, bar, Sales & Events team, and other departments to create an outstanding guest experience;

• Check mise-en-place, room setups, cleanliness, and overall presentation of F&B areas;

• Ensure compliance with HACCP guidelines, safety regulations, and hotel procedures;

• Support the F&B Manager and other leaders in the daily operation.

You bring:

• Experience in a leadership or coordinating role within Food & Beverage, hospitality, or banqueting;

• A passion for hospitality and creating unique guest experiences;

• Strong communication skills and a natural ability to lead and inspire others;

• The ability to maintain oversight and make decisions during busy events;

• A coaching mindset and the motivation to support and develop colleagues;

• A strong eye for quality, detail, and compliance with hospitality and safety standards;

• A representative appearance and professional attitude;

• Good command of both Dutch and English;

• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
