In the beating heart of Amsterdam, work is underway on what will undoubtedly soon be one of the city's most iconic buildings. The Diamond is the iconic building that gives Leidseplein a whole new face. The glass, sparkling exterior facade refers to the famous diamond Koh-I-Noor, Persian for 'mountain of light'. With this, the glorious history of Amsterdam, City of Diamonds, is once again anchored in the city.

In The Diamond you will find a unique boutique hotel with 36 luxurious rooms. And Limar, a table d'hôte restaurant where changing top chefs show their skills in an intimate setting to a group of up to 18 people. The legendary Koh-I-Noor cocktail club, open to members and guests only. A premium steak house. And, of course, the Heineken Hoek. But then in now.

As a Front of House Team Member you work in the heart of Hotel The Diamond and are part of the hotel's opening team. This means you are closely involved in the start of this new iconic hotel on Leidseplein.

Together with the Front of House team, you are responsible for our hotel guests from arrival to departure and you ensure that guests feel welcome. Checking guests in and out, recommending activities in the city and assisting with various questions or requests will all be part of your daily tasks.

The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic front office employee with a passion for hospitality. Experience in a similar position is an advantage, but what we find most important is that you have a hospitable attitude and enjoy welcoming guests and ensuring that they enjoy a pleasant stay.

Do you have what it takes?

·       You are an enthusiastic and driven team player

·       You are a good communicator in English (and Dutch), spoken and written

·       You are flexible and stress-resistant

·       You think solution-oriented

·       You have at least 2 years of experience as a Front Office employee and/or have completed appropriate training in Front Office, Travel & Hospitality or Leisure & Hospitality

·       Knowledge and network of the Amsterdam market is an advantage
