Highland Group is looking for a Front Office/Back Office Employee
Are you ready to take the next step in your hospitality career and work in one of the liveliest and most welcoming areas of Amsterdam? At Highland Group, you'll have the opportunity to join an enthusiastic and close-knit team that provides every guest with a warm welcome and a carefree stay. We currently have a combined position available for a part-time Back Office and Front Office employee. A few days per week, you’ll handle the back-office administration for our six boutique hotels. In addition, you’ll also work several front-office shifts in the hotels. This fun combination ensures a nice change of pace during your workday!

What will you do?
As a Front Office Employee, you are the first point of contact for our guests. With your professional attitude, you make guests feel at home from the moment they arrive. The Back Office provides direct support to the Front Office department of our hotels. You handle administrative tasks efficiently, allowing our Front Office teams to focus even more on delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Your responsibilities include:
• Checking guests in and out;
• Monitoring room availability and handling last-minute reservations;
• Processing reservations in the hotel systems accurately and efficiently;
• Handling guest payments and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded correctly;
• Creating reports and overviews for hotel management;
• Answering phone calls and responding to emails on behalf of the hotel;
• Handling guest requests, such as wake-up calls, and making restaurant or museum reservations;
• Receiving guest feedback, responding appropriately in line with the hotel’s character, and sharing valuable feedback with the Hotel Manager;
• Being attentive to guest preferences and anticipating their needs.
What Do We Ask of You at Highland Group?

• You strive to deliver high-quality service tailored to the guest’s needs;
• You are available to work on weekends as well;
• Preferably, you have experience in the hotel industry;
• A good command of the English language is required; knowledge of a second language is a plus
• You live in or near the Amsterdam center area.
