THE POSITION
As Head Chef, you'll lead our kitchen team and ensure an outstanding culinary experience for our guests. This means managing the team, developing menus, and delivering high-quality dishes across all meal periods. You have a passion for cooking and know how to craft a luxury experience. You are proactive, hands-on, and the go-to person for all kitchen-related needs and challenges. You communicate clearly and confidently in both Dutch and English, with guests and colleagues alike. You bring strong leadership skills and have experience overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations. You take pride in your work and constantly strive for innovation and perfection in every dish.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team while fostering a positive work culture

  • Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner, and meeting/event catering with creativity and precision

  • Ensure consistent quality and adherence to health, safety, and brand standards (including HACCP)

  • Regularly refresh menus with original ideas and contribute to F&B revenue growth

  • Manage stock, place orders, and calculate food costs

  • Plan rosters, onboard new team members, and provide training

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • You’re creative, warm, and know how to connect with people

  • You are presentable and guest-focused

  • You think outside the box to create unique guest experiences

  • You’re passionate about order and structure in your kitchen

  • You are a team player with a proactive mindset

  • You excel in communication and building strong relationships

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • MBO/HBO or equivalent education

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar role; experience with Marriott is a plus

  • Proven knowledge of culinary techniques and kitchen operations

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience mentoring and developing a team

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage
