About the role

As the Evening Housekeeping Supervisor at the iconic Grand Hotel Amrâth Kurhaus in Scheveningen—a beautiful district of The Hague—you play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and guest experience. You will work in a historic five-star seaside hotel where history, luxury, and hospitality converge. In this dynamic evening role, you will lead an enthusiastic team and ensure the impeccable appearance of our guest rooms and public areas. In the industry, this position is also known as Assistant Executive Housekeeper or Cleaning Team Leader.

What will you be doing?

In your role as Evening Housekeeping Supervisor, you and your team ensure an unforgettable stay for our guests in The Hague. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading, coaching, and motivating the housekeeping team during the evening shift.

• Ensuring optimal staff scheduling and efficient task allocation.

• Inspecting cleaning work in rooms, suites, and public areas to ensure five-star quality standards are met.

• Identifying operational issues and areas for process improvement, and reporting these to management.

• Maintaining a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for guests and colleagues.

• Assisting with the onboarding and guidance of new staff members in the housekeeping department.

Who are we looking for?

To succeed in this role at our hotel in The Hague, we look for the following qualities:

• You are available to start at 3:00 PM (fixed evening shift).

• You have experience in a supervisory or coaching role, or you are highly motivated to develop these skills (e.g., as a working supervisor/team lead).

• You have the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

• You have a natural focus on order, cleanliness, and hygiene, with a keen eye for detail.

• You have a good command of Dutch and/or English.

• You have a flexible attitude and the ability to handle stress in a hospitality environment where no two days are the same.

• Salary in accordance with the Hospitality Collective Labour Agreement (reference role: Head Housekeeper II), ranging from €2,505.04 to €3,032.79 based on a 38-hour week, depending on experience.
