Independent Working Chef in Zeeland

For a popular beach restaurant in Zeeland, we are looking for a strong independent working chef. You will work at a beautiful location by the beach, in a busy restaurant where pace, quality, teamwork and guest experience are very important.

As an independent working chef, you are responsible for your own section. You work according to fixed recipes and clear procedures in English or Dutch. You make sure dishes are prepared and finished neatly, on time and according to the right quality standards. Even during busy moments, you stay calm, work quickly and neatly, and keep the quality high.

You have basic knowledge of cooking and preparation techniques, product knowledge and a good sense of taste and presentation. You understand how ingredients work together and you have an eye for detail. You also know the HACCP guidelines and work in a clean and organized way. Together with your colleagues, you make sure the kitchen stays clean and structured.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for someone with experience as an independent working chef. You are stress resistant, reliable, punctual, flexible and a real team player. You think along with the team, take responsibility and feel involved in the kitchen.

You pick up new things quickly, can work independently and think ahead with your mise en place. You keep your workstation organized and also think about your colleagues for the next day.

It is important that you speak and read English or Dutch. The kitchen tickets are shown in Dutch on the screen, so you need to be able to recognize and understand the Dutch dishes during service.
