For our kitchen team, we are looking for a Junior Sous Chef who is ready for the next step. Someone eager to learn, create, and work together with our Head Chef to build a culinary concept that keeps getting stronger.
Your role
As a Junior Sous Chef, you are the link between the Head Chef and the kitchen team. You support the daily kitchen operations, actively contribute ideas for improvements, and are given the opportunity to bring in your own style and creativity. You will work in an open kitchen, where your energy and personality directly contribute to the guest experience.
What will you do
Cook with passion and ensure every dish reflects our quality standards;
Support the Head Chef with menu development, concept creation, and kitchen optimizations;
Monitor food safety according to HACCP guidelines;
Coach colleagues during busy shifts and help the team grow;
Assist with ordering, stock management, and kitchen organization;
Contribute to an efficient, guest-focused, and inspiring kitchen operation.
Who are you
We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef full of ambition. You already have experience as an independent cook and are ready to take on more responsibility. You are curious, eager to learn, and motivated to grow — towards Sous Chef and eventually perhaps even Chef within Cityden.
You also recognize yourself in the following:
You speak English (Dutch is a plus);
You have at least 1 year of experience as an independent cook;
You are independent, stress-resistant, and able to maintain overview;
You have knowledge of HACCP and want to learn within a hotel environment;
You are enthusiastic, communicative, and not afraid to take initiative.
