As a LuminAir Assistant Manager, you are responsible for operating the venue and managing the team including Assistant Managers,shift leaders, waiter/waitress and host/hostesses to create exceptional customer experiences. Main duties include supervising the team and ensuring high levels of service in the bar to deliver an excellent Guest-, and Member experience while controlling consistency, service level and team member satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a LuminAir Assistant Manager, you will:
Exceptional Customer Experiences
Take ownership of service delivery across the venue, ensuring exceptional Guest and Member experiences while supporting Assistant Managers during service.

Lead by example on the floor, stepping into the Assistant Manager role whenever operationally required.
Handle complex guest complaints and service recovery, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Drive revenue through upselling initiatives, monitoring performance against daily targets and coaching the team accordingly.
Ensure operational standards and service consistency are maintained across all shifts.
Support the Operations Manager in achieving departmental goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
Great Working Environment
Lead the recruitment and selection process for frontline team members in partnership with the Operations Manager.
Coordinate onboarding and induction programmes for new Team Members.
Coach, mentor and develop Assistant Managers, Shift Leaders and frontline Team Members through regular feedback and on-the-job training.
Conduct probation reviews and contribute to performance reviews and development plans.
Prepare and manage weekly rosters, ensuring labour costs and business demands are balanced.
Deliver engaging shift briefings and ensure effective communication throughout the team.
Day-To-Day Essentials
Take ownership of daily labour planning and workforce scheduling.
Monitor inventory levels, support stock control and investigate discrepancies.
Assist with daily revenue forecasting and communicate business expectations to the team.
Ensure compliance with Hilton brand standards, health & safety and hygiene procedures.
Act as Manager on Duty in the absence of the Operations Manager or General Manager.
Support Assistant Managers during peak periods and ensure seamless operation throughout the venue.
Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone with a passion for bars and at least 1 year experience in a similar position or has graduated from the Hotel School with managerial internship in the high volume restaurant or bar environment.
To be successful in this position you will have:
Customer focus, maintaining the highest standards of authentic service to create memorable experiences every time.
Excellent communication skills to create connections with diverse customers and share information clearly
Great teamwork and a positive attitude
Flexibility and adaptability, able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and focused under pressure.
The perfect candidate is fluent in English (Dutch language skills would be an advantage).

USEFUL TO KNOW:
This position is full-time and will require working weekends and/or evening shifts. Position requirements also include being able to walk and stand for hours and the ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
