Are you someone who enjoys working independently, taking responsibility and interacting with guests? Do you enjoy working night shifts and making sure guests feel welcome and safe at all times?

We are looking for a Night Receptionist for The Highlander who combines a welcoming attitude with independence and a strong sense of responsibility.

About Highland Group

Highland Group is a family-owned business with six unique hotels in the heart of Amsterdam. Each hotel has its own character, style and atmosphere, but they all share the same values: personal attention, genuine hospitality and a strong sense of teamwork.

Working at The Highlander and The Highland House

The Highlander is a colourful and creative boutique hotel in the centre of Amsterdam. With uniquely designed rooms, a lively atmosphere and a central location, it is a place where the energy of Amsterdam truly comes to life. The hotel has a dynamic and informal character, with a team that enjoys working together and making every guest feel welcome.

The Highlander and The Highland House (THH) are sister hotels and work closely together. The Highland House is a small-scale boutique hotel with twelve uniquely designed rooms, where personal contact and a relaxed stay are central.

The reception at The Highland House is open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. Outside these hours, guests can turn to the 24/7 reception at The Highlander. As Night Receptionist, you are therefore responsible not only for guests at The Highlander, but also for assisting guests at The Highland House whenever necessary.

What will you do?

As Night Receptionist, you are the main point of contact for our guests throughout the night. You make sure everything in and around the hotel runs smoothly and that guests can count on personal service, even during the night.

You work independently and have a role with considerable responsibility. You keep an overview, take initiative and know how to respond when unexpected situations arise. At the same time, you are part of a close-knit team in which we help and support one another.
