Front Of House Trainee (24–38 hours per week) – Apollofirst Boutique Hotel Amsterdam

Our hotel has a rich history with many returning guests and is known for its personal service. With 40 rooms and a unique theatre inside the hotel, we offer a distinctive experience. As an independent boutique hotel, we aim to set ourselves apart from today’s large chains through our personal service and unique style. Our welcoming team plays a crucial role in this and is encouraged to bring new creative ideas.

Who are we looking for?

Someone who:

• Works carefully and with attention to detail.

• Is well-presented and flexible.

• Does everything possible to make guests feel at home.

• Is not afraid to come up with new ideas.

• Has an excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

What will you be doing?

As a trainee, you will gain experience in a four-star hotel and learn how to ensure smooth daily operations. During the morning shift, you prepare everything for check-ins, supervise the housekeeping team, and work closely with the breakfast staff.

Because we are a small hotel, you get to know many guests by name and can provide them with personal recommendations for their stay in Amsterdam. You will also handle daily tasks such as processing payments, taking new reservations, and responding to questions via email and phone.

In the evenings, you will not only welcome and assist guests at the reception, but also serve them in our library bar and garden. This makes your shift varied and dynamic.

To make the internship as enjoyable and educational as possible, everything is open for discussion.
