The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is looking for a charismatic and resilient Rooftop Bar Manager to join our team. 

What are my responsibilities?  

As the Rooftop Bar Manager, you will lead one of Amsterdam’s most exciting new destinations, a vibrant rooftop bar and terrace featuring bold flavors, fresh ideas, and a relaxed ambiance. Imagine homemade, garden-inspired cocktails on tap, made in-house using authentic ingredients from passionate local suppliers, each one designed to transport you miles away. Pair that with seasonal dishes with a unique twist, and experience an edgy, fun rooftop escape in the heart of Amsterdam, alive with night-time energy and bold city spirit. 

In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our rooftop bar, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences. As an entrepreneur at heart, you will lead and inspire a dynamic team with professionalism and positivity, manage staffing, scheduling, inventory, and budgets, and collaborate on menu and beverage innovations. You will handle guest feedback thoughtfully, always looking for ways to elevate the experience, while maintaining the venue’s unique concept and vibrant atmosphere.

What makes you the perfect candidate?  

You’re a natural host with strong leadership skills, thriving in lively, fast-paced environments. You have experience managing restaurants or bars, ideally in lifestyle, rooftop, or high-volume venues, and bring a sharp eye for detail, a keen sense of atmosphere, and a passion for creating memorable guest experiences. Most importantly, you lead by example and inspire your team to deliver their best every day. 

• You are energetic and curious, always eager to discover new experiences. 

• You communicate fluently in English; Dutch is a plus. 

• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

• You work well under pressure, prioritize tasks effectively, and consistently meet deadlines.

A unique opportunity is awaiting you in the city centre of one of the most dynamic markets in Europe. We are excited that the Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel is currently undergoing a full transformation. A major investment has been made in the hotel which will result in completely renovated guest rooms and public areas, including a brand-new lobby bar, bakery & restaurant and a rooftop bar & terrace. The hotel will expand from 402 to 500 rooms and an additional conference centre will be constructed. The Renaissance Amsterdam Hotel has a very high focus on sustainability and will aim to become an enhancement to the city of Amsterdam.
