Let’s introduce myself, my name is Carolien, and I am the HR Business Partner working at Pestana Amsterdam Riverside. A beautiful monumental hotel along the Amstel River where we are looking for passionate colleagues to join our team. Pestana Amsterdam Riverside has 154 modern and historical rooms, a spa with one of the largest swimming pools of Amsterdam, a well-equipped gym and 10 meeting rooms where we host events up to 200 people. At last, but not least, our beautiful restaurant and bar Archive where guests enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Located on the banks of the Amstel River, our hotel combines historic charm with modern luxury. What will you be doing?
As Sales Executive, you will be responsible for generating new business, nurturing client relationships, and maximizing revenue across all segments. You will represent Pestana Amsterdam Riverside with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring our clients and guests receive exceptional service. You will work alongside our energetic Sales Manager, and you will be a part of a small and enthusiastic team where no day will be the same. The team is responsible for all commercial activities related to Pestana Amsterdam Riverside. Nothing is beyond our imagination!

Key responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and secure new sales opportunities in corporate, leisure, and MICE markets

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key accounts

  • Prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations and proposals

  • Collaborate with Revenue and Marketing teams to optimize occupancy and revenue

  • Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions

  • Conduct site inspections and showcase our unique facilities to prospective clients

  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs

What do we expect from you?
Your profile;

  • Previous experience in hotel sales or hospitality sales, ideally in a 4- or 5-star environment

  • A network within Amsterdam’s business and travel community

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

  • Results-driven, proactive, and able to work independently and in a team

  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus

  • Familiarity with hotel sales systems (e.g., Opera Cloud, Salesforce) is an advantage
